Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026
This notice is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) to visitors of https://braceriabeach.it (the “Site”). It covers this Site only, not third-party sites reachable via links.
1. Data we process
1.1 Browsing data
The systems running the Site collect, during normal operation, data whose transmission is implicit in Internet protocols: IP address, time of request, page requested, response code, browser and operating system. These data are processed by the hosting provider for technical and security purposes (server logs) and kept only for the time strictly necessary, except where needed to investigate computer crimes.
1.2 Data you provide
The Site has no contact forms. Booking requests and enquiries are made via WhatsApp, phone or email: the data you send us through these channels (name, phone number, message content, any dietary needs) are processed only to handle the booking or reply to the request. WhatsApp is a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, which processes data under its own policy (whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea).
1.3 Cookies and third-party content
The Site uses technical cookies only. The interactive Google Map is loaded only after your consent: in that case Google LLC may set its own cookies and process your IP address. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
2. Purposes and legal bases
- Operation and security of the Site (browsing data, technical cookies): legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Handling bookings and enquiries received via WhatsApp, phone or email: pre-contractual and contractual measures requested by you (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Displaying the Google map: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie preferences.
- Legal obligations (tax, accounting, requests from authorities): Art. 6.1.c GDPR.
3. Processing and retention
Data are processed with IT tools and appropriate security measures. Browsing data are kept for the technical time needed and in any case no longer than 12 months; booking data for the time needed to manage them and, where relevant for tax purposes, for the statutory period (10 years). Your cookie choices are stored in your browser for 12 months.
4. Recipients
Data may be processed by authorised staff of the controller and by providers acting as processors (Art. 28 GDPR) or independent controllers: the hosting provider of the Site and database (servers in the EU), Google LLC for the map (only after consent), Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd for WhatsApp. Data are never sold or shared for marketing purposes.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Using Google Maps (after consent) and WhatsApp may involve transfers to the United States. Google LLC and Meta Platforms are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and apply the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR).
6. Your rights
Under Articles 15-22 GDPR you can access, rectify, erase or restrict your data, obtain portability and object to processing; you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Write to braceriabeach@gmail.com or, by certified email, to fadev@pec.it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
7. Provision of data
Browsing data are implicit in using the Site. Providing data for bookings is optional but necessary to obtain the service. Consent to third-party content is optional: without it the map is not loaded, but the external link to Google Maps remains available.
8. Minors
The Site is not intended for children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated; the date of the last revision is shown above.
